Federico over at MacStories always does the best, most personal reviews of the new OSes each year, and this one’s no different. I especially love the custom art he commissioned for the section headers.
The Subprime AI Crisis (Ed Zitron)
Ed Zitron provides the fiercest criticism of the generative AI boom available. If the bubble’s going to burst, Ed’s got his finger on why. I don’t agree with a lot of Ed’s takes (and I have my gripes with this article), but as a warning, it’s worth paying attention to.

Is o1-preview reasoning? (Machine Learning Street Talk)
I wrote about my first impressions of OpenAI’s new release, and I loved this conversation between machine learning experts about whether it’s really “reasoning” or not. Spoiler: No, kind of, not really, sort of?
